Carnival's Melting Chocolate Cake - Yum!
If you've ever sailed on Carnival Cruise Line, then you've probably experienced their Melting Chocolate Cake. Notice I said 'experienced' versus 'tasted'. This cake is definitely an experience. Even if you're not a big chocolate person like me, the cake served onboard all Carnival sailings is one of those things you'll never forget. I looked forward to it every night. It's just that good!
Recently, on my family 'mini'-reunion (10 of us total), we ended up having the Melting Chocolate Cake every night. Even when one of us ordered something different, our waiter knew we couldn't resist the Melting Chocolate, so he'd bring enough for all of us. I think he got a kick out of our reaction - every night, the cake prompted sound effects from all who experienced it (oooh, aaah, mmmm).
On the 5th night of our 7 day cruise, my cousin asked our waiter if he could ask for the recipe from the chef. I guess they get asked that question a lot because 5 minutes later, our waiter came back to our table with several copies of the recipe in hand.
So, here's a little piece of heaven for you. That is, until next time you're able to enjoy it for yourself courtesy of Carnival onboard one of their 22 ships:
