Cruise Planners Cares!
I absolutely love that I'm part of a company that cares!
Cruise Planners recently launched a new program called "Voyages for Veterans which creates an opportunity to combine the popularity of cruising with fundraising efforts to benefit a worthwhile organization. Voyages for Veterans was developed by Cruise Planners in partnership with Royal Caribbean International to raise funds on behalf of Fisher House. Fisher House Foundation builds multiple bedroom homes on the grounds of VA Medical Centers around the country that provide free housing to the families of veterans who are undergoing extended medicat treatment. Fisher House (www.FisherHouse.org) is a top-rated charity that operates 38 houses across the country and has provided free housing to over 120,000 veteran's families since its inception in 1990.
This is truly a win-win for everyone. When one of my clients sails on a featured Fisher House cruise, Royal Caribbean makes a direct donation on their behalf to the charity. The cost of the cruise is not impacted by the donation because it is paid directly by the cruise line. In fact, beacause group rates are used, the cruise fares are often lower than individual rates.
