Cruise Planners is your Family Cruise Specialist!
When planning a family cruise vacation for your family, all cruises are not alike. Some are much better for families with younger children, while others are better for families with older children. And, if your family doesn't have any school-aged children, then a premium, deluxe, or luxury cruise might be a better fit for your family cruise.
Royal Caribbean, Disney, Norwegian, and Carnival are great for families of all ages. However, the newest ships of these cruise lines have the most options, amenities, and activities for your family. Between 2009-2013, these cruise lines are debuting several new ships with the most innovation ever seen at sea. Here's what your family can look forward to:
- Royal Caribbean: Oasis of the Seas (2009) and Allure of the Seas (2010) - a park with real trees, boardwalk with a merrry-go-round, aquatheater, balconies facing the interior portion of the ship (overlooking the park or boardwalk), and first ever zip line at sea are just a few industry game changers.
- Disney Cruise Line: Disney Dream (2011) and Disney Fantasy (2012) - the first ever 'water coaster' at sea, expanded kids-only and adults-only areas are just a few amenities that will surely make your Disney Cruise experience magical (check out the video below for a sneak peek of the Disney Dream).
- Norwegian Cruise Line: Norwegian Epic (2010) - an ice bar, multiple bowling alleys, extraordinary entertainment including the Blue Man Group, and the first ever accomodations for solo cruisers, the Norwegian Epic is epic indeed.
- Carnival: Carnival Magic (2011) - a 2 level miniature golf course, Waterworks aquapark, and expanded adults-only 'Serenity' retreat will surely be a welcome addition to the Carnival family. This is also the first new ship in several years that will be based outside of Florida, calling Galveston, Texas its homeport starting in Fall 2011.
All of these ships are great options for your family, and even better for your family reunion cruise.
